Katy Grace
Grace Beauty owner and head esthetician, also known as the “da vagina dezina”. Being one of Maui’s most popular estheticians she has over an eleven year following. Katy believes in Grace Beauty being her extended living room, welcoming all people, children and even pets in. She loves people, and relationships are everything to her, wanting everyone to feel happy and welcomed. Katy comes from a large family, raised on the beach of Laguna, California. Her work ethic and practices were heavily influenced by her family. Her parents instilled in her and her siblings at a young age the importance of hygiene and grooming and she has carried that knowledge with her throughout her life and into her career. She grew up watching her Italian mother remove unwanted hair, so her work as an esthetician comes naturally and passionately to her. Her father, a big believer in massage therapy always made sure that Katy was well taken care of by getting body work done and visiting hot springs often. Her fathers beliefs were passed on to her, and have formed her love for giving facials. Using Eminence organic skin care line at Grace Beauty was a decision of Katy’s based on her history working in the nutrition and health field. Eminence being a handmade organic skin care line is the best in the world. The staff of Grace Beauty receive extended training by them three times a year. Katy’s theory is a healthy physical, spiritual, mental and holistic well being, all in balance. She loves to make people feel good inside and out, every one of her clients is special. Katy loves the sun and ocean, and has been a surfer her whole life. She recommends a great natural sunscreen, a hat and polarized sunglasses to stay healthy while doing the things you love. And theres nothing like a smile and great posture to make you look ten years younger!
Amanda
One of Grace Beauty’s very talented aestheticians and our nail expert. Amanda originally from Victoria, Canada has five years of experience as an aesthetician. Aveda Institute trained, Amanda believes in organic and natural products. She believes in beauty starting from the inside out and a healthy lifestyle to obtain that. Amanda lives an active life of golfing, hiking and rollerblading.
Laura Taliaferro
Laura Taliaferro has a passion for Skin Care and Waxing. After dealing with Adult acne, Laura understands how important a woman’s face is to her self esteem! If a woman feels good in her skin, she walks a little bit taller! Laura went to school at Maui’s own Spa Luna Esthetician Holistic School, and continues to educate herself on skincare through on-going research and workshops.
Brooke Phillips
Brooke Philips has been a practicing cosmetologist for 6 years, specializing in skincare, waxing, nails, and makeup. With a vast knowledge of Eminence Organics and Young Blood mineral makeup shes been a great addition to our team. Brooke believes in a simple daily skin regimen to protect and promote healthy skin.
